David T. Eastman
Aside from being an experienced attorney focusing exclusively on Estate Planning, David Eastman is a church-goer, a dog lover, an outdoorsman and a devoted family man. David is affiliated with Wealth Counsel; the top estate planning organization in the United States. He is proud to be affiliated with such a distinguished group of estate planning attorneys both nationally and locally here in Arizona. This keeps him abreast of the most recent law changes and some of the most groundbreaking planning techniques used in the field of estate planning to date. There are only a handful of attorneys in the entire state of Arizona that belong to this prestigious organization and David is proud to say that he is one of them.
For fifteen years David has served residents of Arizona in all their estate planning needs. His passion to safeguard the temporal heritage built by small business owners, non-profit organizations, industry professionals, and every day families has only intensified during that time.
David’s true skill is communicating complex principles in a way that is easy for clients to understand. Often told he should have been an educator, David enjoys speaking to various public and private audiences about the importance of establishing a personalized estate plan. He has addressed the concerns of veterans, seniors, students, entrepreneurs and church parishioners, and has appeared on local news stations to promote proper planning for Valley families. The entire Eastman Trusts team is dedicated to the principle of preparing for what's to come, with integrity.

Darren L. Richardson
Darren is often asked why he chose estate planning to be the focus of his legal practice. For him, the real question is – why not? Most people spend a lot of time and energy building their nest eggs. Sadly, too many people pass away without their hard-earned assets passing to their loved ones as intended. Knowing from firsthand experience the frustration, confusion, expense, and family divide improper planning can cause, Darren chose to focus his practice on estate planning to help bring peace of mind to hardworking individuals and families.
Darren has practiced estate planning and administration exclusively over his legal career and served as the director of estate administration for many years at another valley firm before joining Eastman Estate Planning, PLLC. Darren graduated Cum Laude from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He received his Juris Doctorate from Phoenix School of Law, where he served as a law clerk for the Arizona Governor’s Office of General Counsel. Darren is a member of Wealth Counsel and the East Valley Estate Planning Council, and currently serves on the professional advisory board for A New Leaf, an Arizona non-profit.
Darren grew up in Herriman, Utah, where he worked on the family farm. After serving a two-year mission for his church in British Columbia, Canada, Darren married his lovely wife, Melissa, in 2003. A few months into their marriage, Darren was diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer, and had to undergo emergency surgery less than 48 hours after his initial diagnosis. The surgery was successful, but Darren was told if he had waited one more year he would have died. This experience gave Darren a fresh perspective on the importance of being prepared. The large scar on his face serves as a daily reminder of how quickly life can change and to never take anything for granted.
Darren and Melissa are the proud parents of three wonderful children – Guyene, Nolan, and Cora. Darren is an outdoorsman with a love of hiking, golfing, camping, fishing, and whitewater rafting. In his spare time, you can find Darren spending long hours hovering over his smoker preparing the perfect brisket, ribs, pork belly, turkey . . . honestly, if it’s meat, he’ll smoke it!
